Dear Friends,

A great event is happening in Kota Kinabalu on Sunday 11th October 2009, the “Borneo International Marathon 2009”.

Take up the challenge, run for your health and also help raise funds for our official charities. This year, our theme is “The Beautiful Run” , due to our beautiful and scenic race route covering the entire city coastline of Kota Kinabalu, the capital and gateway to Sabah, the Land Below the Wind.

There will be 3 runs for this 2nd Annual Borneo Marathon – the 10km, 21km(half marathon) and 42.195km(full marathon). This is a run organized by runners for runners so you know you will be participating in a professionally organized event.

Registration online is now available ( http://www.borneomarathon.com/ ) and early bird rates apply until 30th June 2009.

Life is short, so take up the challenge now!

Hotel Shangri-la Kota Kinabalu and Sabah Blood Donors Association is organising a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) Blood Bank to help replenish the blood bank supply. It will be held as follow:
